It's time for another installment of Library List! (see the other two lists HERE and HERE). These books are all books that I checked out from my own local library and read to my little one. We bring home about 30 books to read together a week, and these are our top ten! The styles, themes, and topics are diverse, so you're bound to find a new favorite in this list.

1. Ruby Valentine Saves the Day- Friedman: Don't save this book for Valentine's day, your kids will love it now! What's a girl to do when a huge snowstorm threatens to spoil her plans for her favorite holiday? In a tale of perserverance and creativity, Ruby Valentine is an example to all of us and takes the problem into her own hands and comes up with a solution! [BUY]
2. Home- Ellis: Some people live in houses in the country and others live in apartments. Some people live in huts in the desert and others live in igloos! Ellis explores the many different homes and cultures with beautiful art in this fun book. I enjoyed finding my style home in the book, as well as talking about different cultures with my little one. (And this book even has a little fantasy thrown in for some imagination play!) [BUY]
3. A Mother for Choco- Kasza: Oh no! Little bird Choco has no mother! This sweet story follows the trail of sweet Choco as he seeks to find someone to be his mother. (This book is also awesome for teaching about adoption or foster parenting). [BUY]
4. The Tushy Book- Manushkin: We all have tushies! So why not have a little fun with it?! This humorous account of why our tushies are so great is sure to have you and your kids rolling on the floor laughing. (See a full review of this book HERE.) [BUY]
5. The Shape of My Heart- Sperring: This book is fantastic for youngins starting to identify shapes. But it's bright fun illustrations make it appealing to children of any age! There are so many shapes to identify in the world, and this story presents those shapes with a positive message of love. [BUY]
6. Goodnight Already!- John & Davies: Do your kids start crying the moment you put your head on the pillow to go to sleep? My baby girl does too! This book puts a funny spin on a problem that far to many of us face- distractions and interruptions as we are trying to get to sleep. I laughed out loud with this story! [BUY]
7. By the Light of the Moon- Cain: A mommy mouse searches and searches for a place to lay her baby mouse down to sleep. But every where they try isn't comfy! Will they find a place to sleep, by the light of the moon? [BUY]
8. The Curious Garden- Brown: You will love the illustrations in this book, and the message that goes along with them! Reminiscent of a Wall-E type world, a little boy who lives in a city with no plants finds a curious little garden in a curious little place. He loves and cares for the garden. Soon the love he has for nature spreads to every corner of his town. [BUY]
9. Stellaluna- Cannon: In this sweet story of self-worth, little Stellaluna gets lost! She ends up in a nest with baby birds. On her way to find her momma, she ends up finding herself. [BUY]
10. Cock-a-doodle Quack! Quack!- Baddiel & Jubb: This adorably silly story shares the tale of a new little rooster who learns that it is his job to wake everybody up in the morning. But he doesn't know how! Be prepared to get loud and crazy with this book as all sorts of funny "rooster noises" escape your lips. [BUY]
